Does anybody know when the squad will be announced, Macca`s first one so it could be interesting (though probably not). I think Fox & Shaun Briscoe played themselves out of contention with their displays against Saints the other day though.

Any chance of a call up for Smurph? He's been pretty consistant at FB all season. Briscoe & Wellens haven't exactly covered themselves in glory.

Would be we earned if he got the call, no more than he deserves IMO.

Agreed although I suspect while he may well get a squad call Smith will get the starting shirt.

As I understand it though only 2 players max will be selected from each club for this game, so i would say that this significantly boosts Murphy's chances.

so catalan and cruasders won't have any, Tomkins will be selected who else from wigan ?

The ones I would like to see selected are Sam and Joel both have earned it and Joel deserves a chance at claiming a shirt. If SOL, Coley and Gleeson maintain current form then they must be in with a shot at the 4 Nations 17 anyway.



Pryce may raise a few eyebrows but his form is improving all the time and he has scored on average 2 tries a game and his defence has been rock solid. He is growing in confidence and we need backs like him to reach their potential if we have any chance of getting even close to the Aussies.

don't mind him selecting the lot for this dead rubber game to be truthful, our national game won't work against France, pride maybe but no passion and atmosphere

Agreed this game really should in my opinion be an England Prospect team rather than a real England team. Calling Burgess and Ellis back as they are expected to do for such a game is a total joke and potentially damaging to the 2 players involved.
