Writing has possibly been on the wall that he hasn’t been able to force himself into the side even though our pack is depleted. That being said I wish the lad well for the future. 

I seem to recall that he's been training as an electrician.
Hopefully he will continue with his rugby part-time in the Championship.

Good luck to the lad a wise move. He had limited opportunities and gave loads of effort but was down the list for selection.

It's always difficult with younger props. They take so much longer to develop its gard to say how they'll go.Yusuf is a good example. They rate him at Hull but we needed to keep him longer while he was developing to see those results. .... which costs you without an immediate return.


Ellis Lingard's rise is probably affecting Shaw too. If they are going to invest its probably going to be with him.


And for Shaw, he will get better game time and possibly a better contract at a slightly lower club.
Worth signing him though whoever gets him.

Saw this coming. Injuries and lack of opportunities recent years likely meant an extension was unlikely. He always put in 100% and is a Trinity product so good luck to the guy in whatever or wherever he ends up next. 


I wouldn’t be surprised to see a prop coming in at some point either sometime soon. 

Seemed strange when he failed to sign a contract prior to the 2023 season.  Never really recovered from that.


Croft in the same boat has reinvented himself and returned with a bang.

True and I personally think Croft was unlucky not to be selected vs Leeds away and Nikotemo was very lucky to be shoehorned back into a starting spot. He’s been very good this season. 

I would be more than happy to see his deal extended based on this season. He could over next few years turn out to be a very handy second row.
