Pretty impressive CV on LinkedIn - started with 5 years running communication for the Gurkhas (among others) in Hong Kong, then stints of Programme Management and Engineering for various telecoms companies, including being Managing Director of Marconi and Senior Consultant for O2. Over the last few years he has been a Business Transformation Consultant for (among others) Tunstall Healthcare and npower.
Looks like a lot of very useful experience, and a social conscience - to quote his profile:
