Quote barham red="barham red"No I don't think these things are worth it, it cost me, my wife and daughter £28 more to see that game then it did to watch the game at Wigan.
Did I get a better view at the KC, not particularly.
Was it more comfortable, no.
Could I take a beer to my chair at the KC, no.
Suppose I did getthe added benfit of threatening abuse from chav corner for 80% of the game tho' so not all bad.'"
please bear in mind : i said "among" the best facilities !! yes the wigan stadium is of equal quality & view really . yes the price is a little steep comnpared to wigan , huddersfield i admit. ( possibly huddersfield is cheaper to encourage larger crowds ) as for wigan they dont have to worry about getting larger away followings ( they are within 20-30 miles of a lot of sl clubs ) more people means lower prices !! . we at hull are lucky to get more than 800 away supporters ( apart from the derby game ) the stadium obviously has to cater for people in the north stand & that costs money ( stewards , bar staff , lighting etc ) . in fact most games it would be wiser to put the couple of coach loads we sometimes get in the west stand at a cheaper rate . would surely save money . all in all i would rather pay £68 ish for a family of four in the kc facilities than £55 quid ish & freeze to death like the derby the other year in that god awful stand . it was that comparison i was trying to make .
p.s i agree fully on the beer issue
