He was well off the required standard when he was at Harlequins, and that's saying something considering our squad for the past couple of seasons.

I hope we don;t sign him for next season don;t rate him at all

I think this is all pretty harsh on the guy. I remember him dropping the ball twice.. once when he had the audacity to try running onto the ball at pace and the pass was fizzed into him. The other was a very clever / lucky knockout just as he was trying to get clear. There were plenty of other players losing the ball and missing tackles.

I can't understand why he is being singled out. He is a steady enough player.

The reason he is being singled out is because most speccies need a scapegoat - they can't accept that Batley actually deserved to win. Not long before he dropped the ball (2nd time I think) he'd took a bang to the head and could barely stand up.
