Must admit I read the press release about Halsall and how it’s his time to start playing regularly and I wondered where that will be because it’s still tough to see it at Huddersfield. He’ll have McGilllvary, Senior, Bibby, Naiqama, Cudjoe and Marsters to get past in the wing/centre spots. He’s possibly further back now then he was here. A move to Warrington would possibly have been a fast track to a centre spot, much in the same way Nicholson wanted a quick way to get a starting spot. They need a centre desperately.

Yeah, a much easier route into our team than Huddersfield imo

Delighted that we've snapped him up, it was a glaring weakness in the squad &, quite simply, he improves us.



Shame about Halsall tho. I thought that, not only did he have great potential, but he'd work his way in as a utility back. I'd have rather have seen Miski leave than Sam.

For what it’s worth, which isn’t very much, I think this is a huge signing.



The lad is all class and I expect he will go on to do be part of a team that does very good things at Wigan.

Really pleased with this and a definite upgrade. Less enamoured with losing Sam Halsall though as I thought he had good potential. That said if he wasn't getting in the team last season with the lack of centres we had then you have to think this is the right move



ATEOTD we've got a player in and around the England team for a player who couldn't displace a couple 2nd rowers at club level and an academy forward. Time will tell how that pans out as I suspect both might go on to bigger and better things but, at the time of writing, it has to be a good deal.
