I've been to the CC final every year bar 1 since 1998. This year was the first time I really didn't enjoy it. We were in the Hull end as a group of neutrals made up of Huddersfield and Halifax fans. The Hull fans all stood up to sing old faithful, obviously we remained seated. Hull fans the kindly threw about 10 coins at us.
There was a fight between Hull fans a couple of blocks away. The atmosphere was awful. The match was awful. The weather was awful. The weekend was only saved by good company.

I've been to the new Wembley about 4 times and The images I saw of the crowd yesterday with all those empty seats,I can't believe there as many as 78k+ in the stadium.
You are this seasons best team on consistancy and performance.If we don't get to OT I hope do and also win.There I've put the kybosh on it for you |

the 78k compares quite well with other years.
but like you say plenty of empty seats, alot are that wembley club season tickets?
or maybe they just gave out the figure on tickets sold.
hull and wigan are two of the best supported teams in RL, just goes to show the financial climate is really hitting people.. or maybe its just rugby league? |

Remember SL/Championship each club has to buy an allocation to enter the cup and doubt the likes of Gateshead or Scorpions would have been able to sell every ticket they bought.
Not sure if amateur or Uni teams who enter have to do the same.

I must admit we had a little sweepstake on the attendance. Most people went for the mid 60,000's.
There were nowhere near as many neutrals as usual which could account for the lower number.
