Looks like the lad broke his jaw early in the game last night andplayed through the pain, just posted a picture of the x-ray to his Twitter. Gutted for him.

Not a nice injury to have. I had my jaw broken many years ago and was wired up for 6 weeks. No solid food then when the 6 weeks were up it hadn't set properly and the Doctors had to break it again to reset it.

Really bad news for the lad, he's been showing what he's capable of in these friendlies but hopefully he can make a full and speedy recovery.

Maden played with a broken nose against Fax now Pownall plays with a broken jaw these lads realy do put their bodies on the line & can & do wear our shirt with pride

Well surprisingly it was Complan' usually strawberry but it got very boring so I used to make shandies out of it with Special Brew.



I missed Bacon butties the most.

I feel for the lad. He was just really showing what he can do in the first team and was playing with a lot of confidense. Shows the lads got some bottle playing on with a broken jaw. Don't know how long the recovery time is but I hope it isn't too long.

Anybody know how long Johnny is likely to be out for ?

Well broken bones usually take about 6 weeks to heal.

Hope you have a speedy recovery Jonny, and back in a Leigh shirt as soon as possible.

Hopefully He'll be back for the league games, fingers crossed.

always tough when you get a bad injury, but as has ben said broken bones about 6 weeks, and fingers crossed he has got his injury out the way early, sure we will see him stroming back to fitness and form in a leigh hsirt very soon, good luck and hope to see you back soon.
