This directed at all video refs, but Ben Thaler is by far the worst.
Will video refs stop thinking they are making instructional videos on the art of refereeing. We do not need to watch multiple viewings of the same angle, then viewings from a different angle, then going back to the first angle, to make a decision that was obvious from the very first angle.
They should go to the NRL system, where only a definite "no try" goes to the video ref, and on the others the video ref checks it as players take up their position, with the kick only allowed when given. Speeds it up massively. And hearing the video ref slows it down, because they can't resist the urge to talk their decision. Just watch it and give it.
Think first thing they should do is get a proper system set up , seeing that most games are on Sky + Until they get more cameras round the pitch it will always be not fit for purpose .People go on about the BBC commentators on how bad they are on Rugby League but there camera work puts Sky + to shame
