Ah but you see Charlie I was born and brought up in Lowton, Which I'm sure you will admit is very much posher than Wilkinson Street, and our Rag bone man had a trumpet which He would blow (Eddie Calvert style) and every so often would call out "Pots for rags and woollewins Gee rag bone," and I can assure you that this particular trumpet certainly had a rough end .
when I was lad I thought the world ended at Pennington Park ,I now prefer the Dulcit tones of Acker Bilk to Eddie Calvert
