The next day the 1st aussie gets so excited thinking the 2nd ausiie has agreed that he gets on the phone and tells all his mates that his mate (the 2nd aussie) is joining his club as an assistant, one of the people told includes a 2nd rate hack for one of their local papers and publicises the story.
The 2nd Aussie on reading the story realises that the job offered was just to be an assistant at a wage worse than he's on quickly and publically distances himself from the story and pledges his future to the chairman and the club.
Nahh too far fetched it could never happen..... or could it
