I was 3 - and remember nothing of the day!!

I was 18 months old and was left at home with my mum, whilst dad and my older sisterwent to Wembley. Apparently for the home coming I was pushed round Leigh in a buggy wearing a large cherry and white rosette.

I was 8 and was either fishing at the cockey pond near Higher Fold or rabbiting with my uncle Joe. Went to Leigh though to cheer the boys home. Never forget that night.
