I have watched the academy for the last few years and Thursday was one of the best attacking performances I have seen,some of the breaks and spreading of the ball was as good as I have seen from any academy team.
There were some standout performers but none stood out more than Jack johnson at fullback,he keeps getting more influential every match(highlights from last year above),surely it can't be long from his full first team debut either at fb or on the wing!! Was good to see Toby king and Sam Wilde back in action and the other standout performers were brad standway and harvey livett
The team is growing in confidence after a sticky start to the season and next week will be another tough match against saints but if they play like this then they will be a handful for anyone!!

Well the U19 game is a bit deceptive because of the time and space the creative players are given to work their magic, but yes, we do have some really good players coming through and they seem to be playing with confidence and an attacking flair that the first team have not really displayed since the loss of Briers. The match against Saints next week ought to be a cracker, particularly as King and Wilde will have a game under their belts after their long injury breaks. | | |

You are right, I missed that the first time around. It was the away match against London at Hemel Stags ground. I still have that old blue fleece despite Mrs W trying to throw it out.
It just shows what true Wire supporters we are travelling all that way. Nice break by Sam Wilde in the same match (next clip after us). | | | |
