Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Some elements of the new site are unfinished, such as; page numbering and quotations. We will fix these minor issues as soon as we can, please bear with us. If you are having problems logging in, please try a different browser or platform, if problems persist then email support@rlfans.com

Quote ="tb"England have never played on a chevron - if they did, they'd be wearing St Helens ">shirts.u'"
They did pre-war. In fact there's evidence that the England touring side of the 20s or 30s were the first team to wear chevrons. The Kangaroos started wearing the gold vees on the green jersey a few years later and 75 years on they still do. Meanwhile England/GB changes its jersey every second year and they always suck.

| What if it was like the Canterbury Bulldogs chevron? Would it look like St Helens then? More like an upside-down triangle rather than a chevron sorta thing?

| I don't understand why we have a new kit every year when we are hoping to build an 'image' for England Rugby League? I know the St Georges cross one wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but at least it was bold.

I don't know the full details, but there used to be a framed shirt in one of my local pubs, as it was run by an ex-player.
I don't think it is right that we have a red v, as that is clearly a Saints thing.
I have no issue with the World Cup one or this (apart from the quality). If it was a team's club shirt, people would like it, but as it is an England shirt, and the responsibility of the RFL, I can't help but think that people enjoy criticising it.
Most GB shirts were decent, but the England shirt needs to be different, and there isn;t much you can do with just two colours. If this was an England RU shirt, I have no doubts that the Union fans wouldn't be slating it, and they have had some shockers.
