| Hmmm. The old crest looks more dignified and grown up than this johnny come lately effort.
I can see why clubs like the logos as they're more instantly recognisable but this just looks a bit cheap IMO. Basing it around a cat from the 1930s seems a bit tenuous.

| Oh dear.
I had hoped the licence system would see those excluded move away from the way Super League had "developed" the identities of clubs, but obviously not in this case.

Nope.
Clubs like Halifax must be losing millions of pounds a year with all the knock-off merchandise anyone is able to sell using their current logo!

| The one with the cat and the crest is too fussy.
Do one thing or the other, not a fudge.
Keighleys is better:

I dont think there is anything wrong with the two new logos, one which keeps the traditional badge with a modern Halifax underneath and one with the cat, which could appeal to youngsters.
The club has decided not to go with a new nickname (thankgod), but come on your club and others have made an absolute fortune with the nicknames.

| Nothing wrong with nicknames or logos so long as it's chosen wisely, there have been a few mistakes made around RL.
Just thought the logo with the cat looked a bif naff. I reckon the coat of arms is classier.

I wouldn't trust them to invent a nickname anyway. Of all the things in the entire cosmos they could have chosen as a marketing tool, they plumped for a bluesox. I'm still utterly staggered by that.
They must have sat around the table and worked out what they could call themselves to absolutely guarantee there were no possible spin offs or merchandise opportunities.

| I actually like the "catless", (grown-ups?) logo, and I can also see the appeal to kids of the one with the cat. However we already have some Wildcats in the competitions, and whilst this may not strictly speaking be a Wildcat, it doesn't look too pleased.
What I'm wondering is why use a Pretty Miffed Cat, if you're not using something "Cat" themed as a name? The tenuous explanation of some old cat in the thirties really is laughable.
I've no idea why they didn't go with the plainly obvious and very good Halifax Bombers (when they chose the risible Blue Fishnets or whatever it was). Still think it would be good.
