The course mate, Sold it on the open day brilliantly, was well keen. Turned out to be a shambles and abit Mickey Mouse. I don't doubt that one uni will have more than the other in terms of students who come from a wealthier background. Thats bound to happen. I also think that that one is Leeds as you are suggesting. Im just saying that if someone wants to go to uni they will, regardless of whether its Leeds Met, leeds Uni whatever. Finance as you say is available and will take people into substantial debt....Do you think though that people would not go to Leeds met just because it upped its fees?? I totally appreciate what your saying and I can sympathise with you as to regards to costs.(I funded myself through uni with no loans) I just think that Leeds Met upping its fees is not going to prevent people from "less well off" backgrounds getting access to higher education. |

I know a number of current students who are understandably worried if they will get a job at the end of the course and are worried they are wasting time. I know graduates who are struggling to find work and most of the work they are finding isn't graduate level.
And part of the reason that is happening imo is because to an extend degrees are losing their value simply because of the amount of people who are now educated to degree level, its not as "special" as it once was. | | | |

Lets not carry this discussion on all night, I have an assigment to do through the night in the library which will probably last me till around mid-day tommorrow, due to me grafting all weekend as mummy and daddy only put a roof over my head, and don't give me a wad of cash each month to piiss away in nightclubs

Going out is just a small part of it for me, living in a city and having all the ammenities is awesome to someone from where I'm from believe me!
