dont think new interpretations will bring anything to the game..just penalising good defence. Why not change somthing for the good like not restarting the tackle count if attacking team retreve ball after charge down.this also punishes good defence in my opinion the tackle count should just carry on. WHY MAKE THE GAME FASTER WHEN REFS CAN'T KEEP UP ANYWAY

If it can clean up a grey area in the rules then I'm in favour. At the moment with dragging the player into touch teams are sometimes penalised for it and sometimes not. At least this way teams now know what they can do and not have to rely on which ref they get.



The other rule makes sense as well. It just stops a team from hopping a player around the field.

so you tackling a bloke near to the line and then for some reason the player leg lifts up in the air, the ref only sees one leg up and calls held, the player did it himself, is this not another grey area ?

is it true its now an offence to complain about a forward pass at headingley ??
