It's been rumoured for a good while so it doesn't suprise me at all if thats the case.

I've said before i'm happy enough at going with what we've got if the right quality isn't available in the positions we need. We could do with a class prop forward and a halfback with a good passing/kicking game but unless we can get players in that will 110% improve us we may aswell not bother.

Personally and i know i am a dieing breed but i am still happy with TL at 7.

A half partnership of TL and Tomkins is in my opinion more than capable of being part of a SL team.

Its all about the forwards for me if we are looking at 1 or with a bit of luck 2 signings max for 2010, a new coach and 1 prop are a must, if Bailey goes a Prop and a secondrow who is comfortable of Prop would see me happy.

Jack Gibson would struggle with Props this weak in our team.

Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

I think scrum half is a postition we need to strenghen only if we can after signing a prop.

An organiser at halfback would improve us but i believe we can do well without one. Sam Tomkins is improving all the time on that side of things and both him and Leuluai are probably amoungst the 4 or 5 most dangerous attacking halfbacks with ball in hand so we're not too badly off.

I agree

she should reserve jugment on TL after we see him behind a dominating pack. he is at his best in open play so if we can create forward momentum and a quick PTB then who knows.

Prop it the priority for me

What's the rumpus, Tom?

for everyone and has been for a good couple of years now.

We still look no closer to getting one of the quality we need though.

And what if we can't? Even if we get a prop we won't dominate the opposition packs in every game. A really good number 7 can make some space for themselves. When there is none TL runs sideways. He did this most of the time he was at 7 v Hull never mind against a really good side.

It is always unpopular to criticise players who give 110% but the Wigan of old didn't go on its cup run by being nice to players if better ones were available. Mick Ford and Andy Gregory springs to mind.

With TL in are in s similar situation as back then in that we have a decent-ish 7 but could do with a better one.

Every club has decentish in certain positions and could do with better like Wigan did pre cap, but it was pre cap. Worse halves have won SL titles in the SL/salary cap era.

My opinion of TL is he is a very good half needing options, the best broken field running half in the comp and the most willing to defend.

Halves who run sideways invariably are looking for options, we give him non, when he does have options on the odd sparky Wigan performance he looks quality, a coach is what is required rather than a new 7 in my opinion in the modern age of Rugby League.

Thats because none have come cheap enough.

Frankly until we invest properly in the pack we will win nowt.

When Fielden leaves next year, I cant wait to hear the no money excuse AGAIN!

Ainscough won't leave Wigan he's in his first year of a 3 year deal.
IL told us that at the Fan Forum.
He may leave on loan but that's all.
