WELCOME BACK GAV  at last someone with something positive to say.
I agree 100% with all you post, H.B Red eludes to swine Flu contact, think most of our fans have contacted WHINGEING FLU of late & need a bloody good dose of something to sort themselves out.

Great post Gav. Nice to see you back. Think you should be in the changing room on Friday and give the team a pep talk. Lets hope the shed akes note to and makes some noise on Friday.

But what is that "somthing"? the club need to lift the fans at the moment imo, but the state the club are in both on and off the field i cant see that happening.
Normally its the playing side or the admin side of the club which is in disoray and one carries the other over the line which gives us fans somthing to sing and dance about but at the moment in my eyes its both.

We miss Trish badly imo, i have no way of proving this but she was annoying with her "shhh...shh...shh" in fans in the club and her lack of interest in fans but i feel she was the kind of person to drag the club off the canverse kicking and screaming and put us back in a position of strength.

I hope friday the fans are given the opportunity to get behind the players because there is a lot of frustration boiling up inside people at the moment all we need is a performance from the players and it will come rolling out big time.

COME ON SALFORD...RUN, TACKLE AND BE ACTIVE TILL YOUR BLOOD TURNS TO WATER AND WE'LL ROAR YOU HOME

OK then we are great , the stadium is definitely on its way,we are playing the most entertaining rugby I have seen for years everything in the garden is rosy.
That good enough
Of course I will shout and cheer the team till the bitter end.
However if we all come on here with red coloured spectacles on and think everything is fine then I am sorry the world and the forum would be a very boring place.
I reserve my right to moan

Is that where that special clinic someone mentioned comes in handy.

You do realise that 1) this message board only represents a small number of our support and 2) not everyone is daft enough to go dressed up in a devil theme on the suggestion of some complete stranger on an internet forum? Especially when that's not the main concern at the club at the moment and not something the club will be overtly bothered with...

As for Red Preacher's post... It just goes to show how you miss something when you're away from it. Give it until the end of the season and he'll be just as miserable as the rest of us.

Pardon me for breathing. Just trying to have a bit of fun and as others had eluded to the fact that they would join in on "devil night" I was just pointing out that I didn't see many. I wasn't daft. My little un had a good time and enjoyed dressing up. Maybe its not the clubs number one priority but it is our history and tradition and I don't think it should be swept aside. Personally I think something like this could only add to the atmosphere at the games so don't see it as being particularly daft. I also didn't do it simply at the suggestion of someone on here. I have a mind of my own. I also did it for the grand final last season.

I'll be there in the shed TBH I cannot fathom out the place this season, it's been like a morgue one week then rockin' the next.
Admittedly we haven't seen Salford at their best this season at Home yet we have seen some exiting younger squad members cement their place in the first team , beat Warrington at Home and Hull, Huddersfield & Leeds away. We have I think 6 home games out of our remaining ten fixtures ( not including any potential play off games from out top 8 position )
so we should by rights be the typical 14th man out there supporting our team and giving the opposition some stick, Players always quote the Willows as a difficult place to play due to the atmosphere created by the home support , now it seems we're more well known for applauding the away team off the pitch ( especially when their own fans haven't bothered to turn up ).
All this talk of new stadiums & franchises has got us all giddy, the club haven't helped:- loading us with impressive future plans and 'just around the corner timescales ' in order to build up support has in fact backfired big-time , giving us unrealistic expectations, unnerving existing support and effectively ' killing' the feelgood atmosphere built up from last seasons NL1 run & franchise application success.
Team wise the dodgy florida trip and now the 'will he won't he 'Myler soap opera will be having an effect on team moral . no matter what has been said.
So it will be nice just to forget about all that S-H-1-T for the time being and just look forward to a simple game of RL ,lose me voice shouting for the red arrrrmy and wishing for a good ol' against all odds giant killing at the expense of our plastic scouser friends from up the east lancs.

Welcome Back

GT must be quite anally retentive if he thinks dressing up in a devil outfit is daft. Is it not just as daft seeing thousands of grown adults all wearing the same strip as the team with names and numbers on the back like they're out there as part of the team...... but we do it all the same.

There are always people turn up to the cricket test matches dressed as batman and robin or naughty nurses etc. It adds to the atmosphere and makes people smile. I believe that was the original subject of this thread... putting a smile back on Reds faces.

Lighten up man
