Did it last season?

what do you think?
I don't think it means anything, english sides have won more WCC matches than aussie sides but it has never meant the english sides are better, so the reverse is also true.
Generally aussie sides are better than english sides, but I think Leeds (with a fully fit side, unlike sunday) would compete in the NRL as would saints.
Manly are the best side in Rugby at the moment and make most sides including NRL ones look poor.
I personally believe the gap between the super league and the NRL is closing. I cannot see SL ever catching the NRL but improvements have been made year on year over the last 10 years.

largely agree with you - in the unlikely event of a global league we (the SL clubs) would over a period of time adapt
- to the conditions
- the conditioning
- the law interpretations
Most of the people i know who went to the WCC were hugely impressed with Manly, but given what they did to Melbourne in the NRL GF we should not be suprised at that.
In decent conditions it was great to see the all round skills set of the Manley squad and the athletiscism on show from the likes of Whatmough
Craig Bellamy: "We're not boxers, we're footy players, and we've got to keep reminding ourselves of that. We're not too worried about getting bashed, believe me. We've got Michael Crocker."
