Albert me old china. I remember when London wouldn't be relegated even if they finished bottom. I remember when 9because we didn't magic a team of cocneys straight away) we were just a team full of Aussies. I remember the abuse on these boards that London fans used to take because your northern traditional clubs didn't get any revenue from our away supporters. I also remember when out gates (or lack of them were discussed on a weekly basis). I remember when we were voted back into SL in 2005 after the Inland Revenue went after us and I remember which clubs voted against us........I remember a lot of things about you and your flat earth mates posting anti-expansionist boll0x on a weekly basis......and yet, here we still are.......15 years in and the least foreign team in SL. More cockney accents than others..........and even if we are struggling, our loyal 2,500 fans have stuck with the team.

Bradford on the other hand are a club in decline. Shi7 ground, team in freefall, little hope of winning anything again and 6k for your last home game.....6k?

Crusaders deserve to be in SL. They, like Catalans and London before will eventually get more local lads playing the game and as a result, will improve the national team....Rome wasn't built in a day.....(but it looks like oddslum was)...



Keep the fires burning my cottage burning buddies and ignore the trolls.....they will soon get bored and return to fiddling with their sisters

Not that Im going to dwell on it but to be honest Bridgend sadly just doesn't deserve a professional team of any sport because they just don't turn out to support it in numbers. Bridgend RU and the region after that which lasted a year had crowds sub 3,000 despite winning a championship.The amateur Union Club that plays there has since been relegated and isn't even the best club in town anymore, which considering the history of that club is a disgrace .The Celtic Crusaders averaged 3,500 in SL slightly better. I know the majority of the fans of the now defunct Celtic Crusaders were NOT from the Bridgend area. The set up in Wrexham is very different, thank god in many respects, it may not seem like anything has changed to you Northerners but from close up its a different world with a few familiar faces. Its not the same club that won a 4 year licence 2 years ago.



I still think there is space for a SL club in South Wales in the future and that it would have a better foundation/support than whats up in Wrexham at present but I don't begruge them for trying and making a very good go of it so far.Its a very useful South-North pathway we have.



South Wales Scorpions are the way forward now here.

PROMOTE SCORPIONS/remove Bradford (terrible stadium, fickle fans etc...), let Leeds play Huddersfield in their DERBY match...scorpions v Crusaders as a real welsh derby.....leave Catalan v Quins as the ultimate derby



Seriously, when it comes to mistakes.....crusaders in bridgend was up there with PSG.......but crusaders survived, moved, adapted and deserve to be in SL. Bradford fans like the poster above are an example of why their club are in decline.......they were the trail blazers in the early days of SL.......now they just trail (losses to quins rl and salford in the last 2 weeks negate any attempted smart ars3d comeback BTW)

I think the Crusaders RL move to wrexham has been a positive bonus for Rugby League and the club. Hopefully the Scorpions will find their true level in the next few years which I hope will be as a good competitive Championship club.

Well heres 5 facts



1) the Crusaders under Noble have now won 3 times as many games as John Dixon did last season - if you include the cup game against York.



2) We are not bottom of the Superleague nor will we finish bottom !



(In fact some folk believe we may well make the play-offs with most of our remainding games home in Wales)



3) The South Wales anti-League fans have stopped saying " you won't last"



4) We have just done our first double



5) we have our own welsh feeder side - the Scorpions

The South Wales Scorpions ARE NOT A FEEDER SIDE to anyone. They are run independantly from

the Crusaders which is important in developing a base here in the South.



I also don't consider the 'Crusaders' have achieved any 'doubles' as yet but thats just me.

I agree with the point about Scorpions not being a feeder club but surely beating Les Cats home and away is a double Rob?
