I know we have Brighton Dons fan on the forum and it just made me wonder how far away is our furthest flung fan who still gets to the odd game?

I only managed 1 game last season due to getting married last September! ( yes she was at it don't worry! ) will try my best for next season and also for the London away fixture

From that distance one game is a good effort when compared to some of the locals up here!

Been a fan since my dad took me to I think it was a Yorkshire cup game! (either he or one of you in the know will correct it and we won! ) and I always remember it was the same weekend as Doncaster loco works open day. Went to loads of games at tattersfield and now I now look back with my 30th birthday approaching on the 30th and wouldn't change nothing!! Seen everything from the lows to the play off final at Warrington!

Forgot to mention i think it was 1993!

last time I watched Donny in the uk would have been in the mid 80s before moving full-time to France I think the visitors were Huyton and I recall the centre (circle) area at TF as a big puddle or paddling pool maybe ! anyone recall those days ?

Why Donny ? well,simple - they were the closest RL team to Great Yarmouth which was about three and a half hours drive away which is a whole lot easier to get than my 'lain' team St Helens which used to be a good six hour drive from the most easterly point of the UK....

now my lad is in Cambridge he will be up to watch the lads play occasionally and so closer to the time I would appreciate it if some of you could make contact and allow him to join you for some games - he would really appreciate that and it would be great for me & his ma too.

Moving to France?

ironically,nowt has changed (except for the better weather,road & rail network, efficient heath service etc etc) cos' my nearest rl club is still three hours drive away (Villeneuve) and the Catalans are still six hours drive from us so,rugby league wise I may just as well have stayed in Great Yarmouth despite the constant freezing cold northeasterlies.....



I really should move further south
