I realise your question is rhetorical but I'll answer anyway. Maybe it is something we could do ... I don't know the full extent of what we can offer. />
In respect of SWS, possibly the key was 'putting a deal together' ... again I don't know what they can offer as a package, nor do I know where he will be living once he returns from France. />
Merely reporting a snippet of news ... but I know that's not what you're driving at.

I can't answer for the Dons' management but I would imagine putting a deal together by a team like South Wales to attract a player like Jamie Ronney would involve them working in some "off the field" capacity too; possibly similar to the role Andreas Bauer had when he played for us. />
Other issues, as mentioned earlier, are where a player prefers to locate to. For guys at this level I would imagine being near friends and family is important. />
Who is going to fill the Dons' No 7 jersey is giving us all worries at the moment. It'd be great to see someone with some experience and know how filling the spot. We lacked it last season and we don't want to be in the same boat this time around. />
Hopefully it'll be a name we know, but I'm sure Tony Miller will do the best he can with the budget he's got. />

*Rooney was born in Featherstone, so I would imagine Doncaster would be nearer. Unless all his mates and family have decamped to Wales. />
