I am traveling up from london for the game and the entrance money i was going to use will be spent on millenium tickets.I am assuming that mr o connor has had words with the team and coach and told them to sort this mess out and has given fans a chance to see what is on offer this time around.Because if he is letting in 100 fans that would normaly pay that is £14.000 that the club as just given away.

its shocking when part time fans get treated better than the loyal ones that keeps the club going. its shocking, what is the point in having a season ticket when i can just wait for discounted and free tickets.

When that happens at our club I think "this is a great marketting initiative and if they give away 100 free tickets and only a handfull of those like the game so much they come back later and pay, then its been an absolute success".
I am a season ticket holder, but on the last "giveaway" i went and got a couple of free tickets and took friends who havent been to our game. Okay they havent come back and paid, but the initiative is correct.
I understand your frustrations, but surely if you are a true fan you want to see your club succeed and grow, so you shouldnt complain when they do these sorts of initiative, you should get behind your club.
After all you do get a discount on next years season ticket, but it sounds like you are not going to be buying one? |

1) Totally agree with you! I've taken people when theres been offers on in the past, and while they havn't become die-hards they do still come to the occaisional game and pay full price.
2) I see what SOC is doing here, but I can also understand it upsetting some people. I won't benifit because I wont be getting a season ticket next year - and I know I'm not going to be the only one. Maybe he could look into making the York NRC game free for ST holders instead? |
