Good to see we are signing up promising young players from the academy. Unless we have another year like this year I doubt we'll see much of him next year.

Not sure about Washy, I feel we may have too many 'a season too far' players next year. That said we can't have much cap space left and there isn't a ton of quality floating around. Plus I certainly don't begrudge him a testimonial.

washy re-signing just smacks of sentimentality (same with mini) imo, awarded a testimonial (well deserved) next season, so possibly the only factor i can see us giving him another year

As a club we seem to do this too often especially if they are Hull boys and then find them an internal job.
Its sad when a career comes to an end but sentiment shouldnt come into it.

The problem now for the club if we are not adding a big signing for next season is how it will effect pass sales.
No excitement for the fans with the same squad taking the field in my opinion will effect pass sales.
Pearson isnt stupid.I think he will see to it that a fairly major signing will join the club for next season.

I'd like a big signing to stimulate interest for next season but with the re-signings I can't see we have enough cap left unless we use Warrington's accountants. I would imagine Westerman will sign up as well.

The rumours about Josh Jones may have credence but I don't think he will enhance the team that much. Decent player though he is.

Marquee signing?

Ideal scenario would be a marquee impact forward, but important to note that even with a marquee signing some of the salary goes on the cap.

Not convinced we have £150k cap space with all these renewals, the being able to afford one may also be an issue, can see crowds being down all summer and that will add up. But we can dream eh!
