This kid is the real deal. Best centre we've produced since schofield and could go on to be a real star. I also thought he showed those (including myself) who questioned his speed that he is no slouch. Just a shame he decided not to pass to whiting in the 1st half but made up for it in the 2nd

He's an absolute revelation. I must admit, having not seen him a lot prior to his first team debut I was wondering what all the fuss was about. He's now showing pure quality, against top players.

He showed great speed but when he made that pass i was like noooooo pass inside but like you said he made up for it in the 2nd, what a combination we have in Crooks and Lineham devastating.

Looked so quick when he made that break. Lineham couldnt catch up with him.



But his strength also impressed me greatly. Still made yards when tackled.

He's all class, the decision making will come with experience.

We can forgive him the occasional error, though.



Crooks can be as good as he wants to be. Agree with the Schofield reference.

People were saying at that start of this year that we needed to sign a strike centre.

Looks like we didn't, we've had one all along!

He's a true centre. Tall, good feet, great hands and has an instinct for the try line.

Reminds me of Gasnier.

With the likes of O'Meley and Galea definitely leaving and Briscoe & Tickle looking highly likely to do the same, I hope the club are looking into improving the contracts of some of our youngsters. They deserve to be rewarded.

Agree wholeheartedly that Crooks is going to be something special, but didn't think tonight was his best game.

He wasn't utilised that much, tbf. But he runs great lines and ghosts through gaps, tonight he proved he can turn the afterburner on too.

Yeah, I wouldn't say he had a bad game. There was the obvious try he bombed and I thought he could have protected Lineham better on the Atkins try.

I did think that tonight and a few times in the last few games have been good examples of his deceptive strength/impact. There's not a lot on him but at times he really knocks players back.

With the squad that gentle is assembling( average age Under 22) we should be in for a good few years.

It's superb that we now have a dangerous right hand edge.

They've overshadowed our left hand side this year, which is remarkable given how much we have relied on that side down the years.

Whiting over ran it for a pass on the inside, he'd have had to kick it (which he probably still should have done) but the acceleration was devastating when he received the pass, bodes very well.
