Would've rather seen another half called up, probably Deacon as he's been in good form, has experience, and has played with Tomkins before with good results.

With Morley being out, Lynch would have been the best like for like replacement. He is a leader, and a senior figure/captain within his club side, a player who has over the last few years, in a poor Bratfud side, has really stood up, despite their decline.



Carvell has had an average season. I can't really fathom out MacNamara's reasoning behind the choice.
