I've mentioned this a few times, the waether in recent months has caused a lot of issues on the A1 up there, I'd allow a good 6 hours with stops, but as long as you possibly can is always a good idea.

too many variables to give a good estimate. Depends on when you set off, traffic, weather etc etc.

I assume you mean your driver breaks the speed limit, all well and good until you get past Newcastle, then there are (thankfully) cameras everywhere.

You're offering advice to someone who asked how long it will take, from Hull, hence my assumption.

I send HGV's up to Berwick daily mate, they can do that in a 4.5 with no break on an average day



6 hours is easily do-able in car travelling at legal speeds and having a couple of breaks if needed

Dont leave it much later than 12 or you hit bad traffic form Durham upwards and over Newcaslte

Indeed, which is not 4 and a half as suggested by someone, also factor in that, the last time I looked, Berwick was not Central Edinburgh.

True, which is whay I was suggesting 6 hours is a decent time to give yourself.

last year for the magic weekend, I drove from south cave to edinburgh and was towing a caravan so was driving at 60 mph using the a1, set off at 8.30 arrived at edinburgh at 2.45pm this was with three 15 minute stops.
