Not true.
I'm not a head and I'm not bothered about the football but I'm OK with the 1.30 kick off. Still plenty of time to get there but now I'll be home before four and enjoy a nice long late afternoon/evening.
A shame if yoiu have to miss out but I'd wager only a very small percentage of supporters will now not be able to go based on a change of ninety minutes.
Worth remembering that the corporate side of things doesn't wrap up at the final hooter. The sponsors have been vital to the club for the last sixteen months so if this means they can enjoy the after match stuff and still have plenty of time to get home for the football then it's a good thing.

| Good call by the club IMO. A once in a lifetime sporting event in our national sport.

| As I've posted on the Rovers forum it's an embarrassing move by Rovers (and Hull).
Any 6-2pm shift workers now cannot attend and at this short notice are unlikely to be granted annual leave. These people have paid to watch these games.
Think about the numbers of juniors who participate in sport on a Sunday morning. How many of these and their parents will now miss out on watching Hull or Rovers or should they give their own rugby, cricket, athletics etc a miss?
3 hours would have been plenty of time for the Leigh and Warrington team bus to get home.
Do we think that football will alter their kick off times in November to accommodate the rugby league world cup?

Well of course not but then there won't be 30m people in the UK watching the RL World Cup Final.

It’s a huge national moment that millions will be watching and demands some disruption to our usual Sunday routines. England could win the RL World Cup (they won’t) and it will get a mention on the tea time news. Totally different scenario.

The 30 million people are irrelevant. All I'm bothered about is the circa 10000 people in this city who have kept our 2 great clubs alive over the past 18 months.
This isn't how you reward them.
It would have been different had they planned ahead and made this decision before the tournament started just incase this scenario occurred.

The vast majority of those 10,000 people aren't going to be complaining about the kick off being brought forward ninety minutes.

| 7 players out through COVID. 3 who have it and 4 who have been tracked/traced. Brett Hodgson also has to isolate due to track and trace.
Well within our right to postpone it but as it stands we are continuing with the match.
I imagine this means all 7 affected will have to miss the derby next week too.

Test and Trace is obviously out of our control and at least the club has been proactive in offering the vaccine to the whole squad. We might squeeze past Leigh but would get battered in the Derby seeing that we have a load of injuries too

You'll be fine against us (Leigh) you could have onl 15 fit players and still win.

Of course you will play Leigh. Not going to miss two easy points.
