After seeing the prices charged at the stadium you can keep your sports and concourse bars.



When I can buy beer at 2/3 the price only a minutes stroll away I won't be drinking at the stadium. This means that I'll never have to experience the melee of which you speak.

it was a bit empty in there last night so as i had 30 minutes to kill we went in for a pint,

due to there only being 4 staff in the supporters bar and 2 of them engaged on big orders i still walked out after 15 minutes pintless.

on the concourse my kid wanted to take them up on their ''special offer'' of a meat pie and a cold drink for 4.50 but met with similar success.

in this economic climate buying 2 meat pies and 2 cold drinks for 9 quid is a great ''special offer''

i wish they could get people in there who can understand ENGLISH

We should do what Wigan do. Don`t buy anything from the bars etc. That might make the SMC think.

That's really steep for a pie. Especially when that kind of money will get two pie and chips plus change in any local chippy.

Got to the South stand concourse at about 7 15 last night. Queued for 10 mins for a cup of tea, got to the front of the queue to be told that the water heater hadn't heated up the water yet and could I go to the other outlet. On a night where the temperature was not much above freezing you would think they would have had a good supply of hot water.

Totally agree, we bought a flask for £4 from Asda and had piping hot chocolate at half time. I haven't bought anything from any of the bars/outlets in several years...since they got rid of the pies in the cardboard trays, they were gorgeous!!...and don't ever intend to. People who moan about the prices should look in the mirror as it's them soft buggers buying the stuff that means the SMC still charge that price.

i got two hot chocolates for 3.40, tasted like p!ss and full of lumps , thats nearly the price of your flask
