| Yep the only thing that really surprises me under radders in last few seasons is our ability to mentally not turn up ..ie 45 to nil at magic x2 with saints and huddo . And now we still have the mental breakdowns after 50 mins. The cats game and wakey would have been put away by a strong mental team. I thought radders would be like wane and have a no messing about culture but mental resilience has let us down, and this i find surprising from a man of radders character and stature as a coach.
I want radders to succeed and get us to GF - we know it's the target this season from all the interviews. I don't think Pearson could have backed rads better through some bad years but he must have 2nd thoughts if we are not strong top 4 at end of year with this squad investment ( and coaching salaries up!) . Its not a disaster so far as lost to 3 very strong teams but the Wakey one was concerning !!!. The stats of 9 wins in last 26 games at home is not good enough in any circumstances, but lets give the squad chance to gel - lot of new faces not quite at 100% together yet . I reckon cats , saints and wigan could be in top 4 with us. if cats keep their heads strait it could be their year with squad macca has.

You mention Wane and his no messing about culture, but didn't his Wigan team concede 60 points, for two seasons running, against Wakefield?
It's the nature of the beast, that is Super League now. Finishing top of the league is not the main priority these days, so some games are gonna be blow-outs. If the main aim was to finish top of the league to be the champions, you'd suddenly see teams having a lot less injuries,. Most teams in this league are inconsistent now, St Helens was a one off last season, they've already lost 2 from 5 this season.

Personally I don't give a flying fornication about other teams, we have thrown TWO significant leads away. THAT is simple truth.

We've also put, 24 and 20, unanswered points on those teams. That's also a simple truth. We had to do well enough in the first place to get those leads, for us to throw them away. But who cares when we do positive things? It's best to ignore them, It's much more satisfying to moan about the negative things.

Super league is just a poor standard, was hoping for improvement this year with teams making what looked like decent signings, but it’s still as pedestrian and lacking in quality as the last couple of seasons, if this is what we are to expect as you suggest, then it’s a very sad state of affairs. Role on the start of the NRL , I still haven’t seen a better game than the warm up all stars game, in 6 rounds of sl. No wonder sky are thinking of pulling the plug, last few seasons sl games on sky have been very very poor

| £20 to a charity of your choice if Sky pull the plug. And £20 to a charity of mine if we get a new deal.
Absolutely Zero chance sky are pulling the plug. They don't care about quality, they care about number of eyeballs watching and although slightly down it is still realistically pretty similar to recent years when we have got sky deals

no, it is much more satisfying to discuss ALL elements of the club and not just blow hot air up Lee's bottom. I think we are probably best agreeing to disagree about wether Lee can take us further.
We shall see what Thursday brings.

Its a fair point that all teams have blow outs when maybe a lot of youngsters come in and a lot of seniors are not 100% fit - jabbed up or not match fit. But Wigan particularly have a habit of coming back from poor early season form and nicking the GF - their record under Wane was incredible. Whereas if we suffer a bit of adversity we seem to very easily lose direction and discipline on field during games and then fall away towards the end of a season. Even in 2016 winning the cup set us on a path of self destruct regarding GF which we were all happy to live with . Then in 2017 I was delighted we beat the mighty Wanes Wigan (a much more convincing performance than in 2016 final in my opinion) and we applied ourselves much better and got very close to GF. So yes i believe radders can do it with right squad and enough senior leadership on field to push us through tough patches in games. e.g GAZ.
But i do find myself wondering would a wane kicking mentality or an Ian watson ( considered tactician/ top man manger ) approach bring even more out of this squad. I really hope radders makes it happen this year and I hope the fans will back him all way to old trafford , but I do believe this is a pivotal season in him asserting his credibility to progress this club. i do believe rads has the integrity to be honest and step down if he feels he has gone as far as he can - he is that good a character.
COYH - if we get to GF I have committed to cycling all way from switzerland to old trafford to be there - now thats mental ( not sure mental strength or maybe just mental illness
