He is only in his first season at the top level though. I don't think it would be partcularly unfair to leave him out until he's had a little more full time training. If Moa is better prepared to take the field, he should get the nod regardless of how long he's been here. |

The best player in the position should play there. Its unfortunate for Maloney if Moa looks better than him in training but i want the team to be the best we can put out there. (making the assumption that Moa does look better then him of course) |

Otherwise its like saying, 'yes weve just recruited you to our business but because youre new we are deeming you less able to do project x or y than Joe Bloggs who has been here longer.'
