I can't imagine how this is going to work out.



Before Jake moved to Newcastle he had always lived with his very supportive parents and there were stories about him only having a few tracksuits and no idea about how to get them washed or how to feed himself.

Tex has also always lived with his family. He "moved out" last year, which turned out to be he spent some time sleeping on Kalyn Ponga's couch.

Jake has spent a few years looking after himself now, and Tex has been trying, so they might be ready to move to the other side of the world I suppose.

They are like the poster boys for Gen z who have never had to develop life skills, and are off to conquer the world.

Just watching these clips of Clifford from last season he reminds me almost of Jamie Lyon in terms of build and the way he moves. If Clifford has half as much impact for us as Lyon had for St’s I’ll be more than happy.

Really happy with this signing, probably the best we could have asked for, a young but experienced half, with a lot to prove if he wants to go back to the NRL, reminds me of Salford signing both Hastings and Croft, both talented, but didn't quite work out for them in the NRL.



As big a loss as Connor is, this gives is a better balance at 1,6 and 7, along with the other 4 signings got to be pretty happy with out recruitment, still lacking in the pack, particularly in the backrow and am hopefully we can still get one more in (Longstaff or English), but I am sure that every team in SL has a weakness in their squad, even Saints with the loss of Grace who hasn't been replaced.
