| Didn't Darnell get smashed round the head with a stiff arm whilst scoring? Not that it was a sending off or even a yellow card. It's just that yet again the RL have instructed their referees on a particular start of season clamp down which unfortunately between them they're unable to police in a consistent fashion. It's more or less the same every season with a different rule.
The so called top 4 teams will get lower level suspensions for the first few weeks. Then eventually the current red cards will become yellows around about round 7. The yellows will become penalty only.
Great gritty win for the lads well chuffed.

I don't think Savelio was too impressed with Gaskills acting either
I hope the RFL have a word with him as I don't wanr RL to go the same way as football in that any contact or slightest of touches sees a player go down like they've been hit by Mike Tyson. Unfortunately after his theatrics against our neighbours and the over playing of being hit by Connor, Gaskill is one of the biggest culprits of sportsmanship or should that be unsportsman like conduct.

| Radders article on the new disciplinary clampdown seems to infer teams across the river, are not affected by the new ref regime, which river he means is not clear, canโt see it being the river Hull, as our neighbours get just as much flak as we do.

Just seen this by Dave Rotheram, the RFLโs Chief On-Field Officer...
https://www.rugby-league.com/article/36 ... new-season
Snip....
Quote The simple summary is as follows:
A careless high tackle would start at Grade A, and should lead to at least a penalty;
A reckless high tackle would start at Grade B, and should lead to at least a sin-binning as well as a penalty;
An intentional high tackle would start at Grade D, and should lead to dismissal.
Force is then taken into account, so a reckless high tackle which is also forceful would be upgraded to the next level of sanction.
Direct shoulder contact with the head should lead to a dismissal where the shoulder is the first and only part of contact.
Finally, video referees are to intervene only when an offence merits a sin-binning or a dismissal.'"
