Can only assume Senior is injured as well then otherwise surely he’d have been 4th choice. Or 5th if you include Miller who has experience there!



Mind you given our luck with fullbacks and OHB’s injury record he’ll probably be crocked by Friday as well!

2 week loan is fine.

He's fast and has played fullback as a regular position.



He looks 15 but he's actually 23.

Makes complete sense to utilise the 2 week loan market rules.



Will get the lad a game under his belt and short term fix for our full back spot.

He’s only here for one game then since next week is the challenge cup. As such why don’t we stick Lyne at fullback and bring in Greensmith?

Part of the poor lads problem is he hasn’t been able to play regular anything. He’s had nothing but bad luck & injuries wherever he’s been. Season ending injuries in his first two years at Widnes, injured at London so only managed one appearance before the season stopped, signed for Ottawa before covid kiboshed that then got injured in a pre-season game at Hudds this year and only just back. You’d like to think the fella is due some good luck because he’s obviously talented.

How long until we ask MCB for a 3rd stint with us??

Depends whether it is just one game. If so i’m inclined to agree with you, with Tupou back and Croft around also i’m sure one of Lyne, Kay or Kershaw could have filled in for just the one match. But if it’s extended to the Leeds game and beyond because none of the others are due back then it’s a good move.

Hearing OAB to play full back and Max to play at half. Don’t know why we wouldn’t play B Walker at half after the back end of last year.

Or even Westerman at 6, Crowther to loose and bring in Bowes on the bench.

If Max was fit I doubt we would have signed Bott.



I’m sorry but those suggesting moving Lyne to full back and asking for Greensmith to make his debut against a tough side like Catalans are in dreamland.



Why would you do that when we had the option to bring in an actual full back and Lyne can stay in his natural position. Therefor no players playing in makeshift positions.



People moan at Chester for playing one player out of position constantly then go suggest our centre at Full back who hasn’t ever played full back so they can fit in a young lad yet to make his SL debut. Barmy.



The club have 100% done the correct thing in bringing an actual full back in short term.



If Greensmith is good enough he will have to dislodge our other 3 centre currently fit.

Part of the issue we lost last week especially in the closing stages was we had Wood/westerman in the halves. We lost our composure the final quarter. Leave Westerman where he’s best at in his natural position and if need be bring back Bailey or play Walker at 6.



If you don’t need to play players out of position (especially those playing well) then don’t.



That said I agree with Bowes coming onto the bench. Even for a 20 minute spell to give Wood. I haven’t seen much of Bowes but he seems to be excellent at distribution and getting the ball out quickly. A quality our 2 hookers and makeshift hooker lack.

Max failed his HIA didn’t he? If so he can’t play.

Think Max is like TJ stood down for 4 weeks unless the RFL uphold Wakefield's appeal.

Reminds me of matty ashton from the wires, both fast and elusive and look about 12 ,looked a great prospect when he was in the Widnes squad . What impact he will have in his two week tenure is hard to see, but give the lad a chance I say

He doesn’t need to do much just the basics will be fine.

No he isn't.

1) you are stood down if you have two consecutive HIAs or you don't recover in the week by failing the assessment again.

2) you can't appeal an HIA.

Because he's not good enough (at the moment) and neither is Croft.
