| We have to be planning for next season, especially seeing as it looks like we'll avoid relegation, so who are we signing?
Hull FC have announced Sneyd and Pryce. Warrington have announced Ashton Simms to name three...
Are we looking to make some decent signings or are we going to settle for unknowns from abroad and/or other teams cast offs?

Of course, throw in some players from the NL's and you have our recruitment policy of the last 10 years.
We need to sign a replacement for TT, maybe a 6 and possibly a FB depending on Mathers getting resigned.

| As ever much will depend on season ticket renewals. If they remain as pathetic as they are this year it will be rejects, kids and veterans. If the Wakefield public actually back the club then who knows.

| It's all down to bums on seats.
With the apathetic Wakefield public turning up in such small numbers every week, we will be lucky to be signing Championship players.
Balancing the books looks as though it will be almost as difficult as last season.
We need to sign a lottery millionaire, or entice the missing 1500/2000 "fans" that have gone Awol, then MC and his team may have a fighting chance of assembling a competitive squad.
Without cash through the till, we will have to wheel and deal (as always), so inevitably, we will sign some players that are unknown, or that want to prove themselves.
The starting point will be who are we going to retain from this season.
It's sure going to be interesting.

| If the team continues to show improvement and desire like the last 3 games, there is room for optimism.
Hopefully next season the gripes about the shop not being open and confusion with drinks being taken into the ground will be resolved with better communication to the wider fan base.
Maybe to get bums on seats the club needs to make a marquee signing to generate interest in renewals.
After all if we were in the running for Pryce, things can't be that bad.

Sign Riley, Owen, Lynne, Sykes, Tim Smith, Richie Moore, Walshaw .....
Could do with a good strong running and creative 6/13 like Joseph Paulo who is out of contract with Paramatta. Running off Tim Smith's cut out passes would give us a different attacking option.

| I reckon we'll see quite a lot of departures and not too many signings, however I think the signings we make will be of a higher quality than usual.

| Sykes has played fantastic this year. Why are people wanting to replace him. We need more a durable centre, collis is great when fit, but how often had that been and his wage must be a good one. We need some strike in the prop to replace TT and back row unless Ali signs on again. Get the loans signed up and keep some continuity. This team is good enough to challenge when coached well. No need for big changes.

I'd tend to agree with this. But I'd suggest Sykes has stood out since TS came back.

| The club needs to do some decent research if they go in to the overseas market. i think we have done quite well with this years recruitment . Surely no one can complain at the effort Ryan puts in every game even though he looks like a bloke who has wandered on to the pitch by accident on the way to the bar but the jury is still out on Harry Seika even though he looks the part physically. If you haven't got much cash surely the safe bet is to secure the talent you have got starting with Walshaw .

Totally agree.
Our imports have gone well this season Anderson, Ryan, Godinet and now Smith are all excellent.
Questions still remain unanswered regards Sejyka and long term injuries to Ali and Collisi have robbed us of their services for a large part of the season.
Again, Anderson ,Ryan and Godinet should be kept if possible and if we can sign Smith, that would be excellent !.
All we have to do then is find another Ali and that will be very difficult indeed !

Ferguson suffering with back problems hence not many Bull starts so I can't see it happening as nicer lad he is.

| Pitts, Ferguson and Murphy who despite his superb form for the Giants still can't nail down a regular starting position in the team. They seem to value him but he's often the first one to make way for someone else whenever the Coach wants a change.

I agree. I'd like to keep a stable core and Anderson, Ryan and Godinet are all worth keeping (Or extending). I think Anderson already has?
Smith obviously as well if we can.
Walshaw and Annakin are a must, and maybe Wildie but depends how Webster sees him playing, and whether Godinet will move back to halves.
I think Dan Smith is under contract but he'd be high on my list too.
I would keep Ali if fit, and Collis, but his fitness would have to be REALLY proven.
Riley I'd keep. I think Owen too though he has more time to prove himself yet.
Scruton I imagine will want to move on so he will need replacing.
Tautai will need replacing too. They are hard acts to replace unfortunately.
If Keinhorst is still here he can go back.
Sammut if he is a problem child and Siejka unless he has turned into a champion at Fev, can stay at Fev for me.
Mathers I'm not sure about.
Which brings us to Sykes. I like him, when he is with Smith, but I wouldn't be against replacing him.
We don't need to panic though. He has a season in him. For all I like Gaskill, I don't think we need to shop at Bradford so much. We should bring in better than we have or stick with Sykes.

If they ever wanted to lose Murphy I'd bring him to Trinity in a shot.
He can play full back for me, or wing, or maybe even centre

| If we are wanting someone to replace TT then why don't we get Atelea Vea? He's from London broncos and can play any position in the forwards. He's big, strong and he's quite a bit of pace about him too. Just a thought.
