I've been away for a week and come back to a string of names linked with WT - after what we have signed over the last 2-3 weeks, absolutely none of them inspire me with confidence. The players linked are not much better than we struggled with last season.
I'm still looking for the half backs to be sorted because if they aren't then get ready for another long haul. We don't have one half back on the books who would get into another SL team! I appreciate such as Wildie coming through and to a lesser extent Moore BUT they alone, without some class and experience alonside them, will be blown away. Rather than signing fringe players I would have thought that 2 class half backs should be signed.
No disrespect meant to the prop from Barrow (James?) Dowes and Cockayne (who I wouldn't touch anyway) but we need better!

Wilkes... One of quins good performers.

Southern.. Good defender and Nrl veteran. Played Nrl last week and good defender.

Fox - not 12 months ago was in England line up. Plyed well last time I saw him for hull kr.

Ali lauitit - quality wide running impact player.

These are positive improvements.

As for others.. Solid signings.

Collis, Mellars( amongst cru top try scorers in a poor side), Washbrook ... Solid.

Looking ok for next year. I agree that we are in need of a quality half who is either breaking into nrl or a regular.

We have to be realistic with our targets and what's left in the player market though.

Let's just wait and see how the rest of signings pan out. I'm happy so far but we need that half and a good prop or two.
