Hickey is supposed to be signed up from what some have said. Then I think we have to look at loan players such as O'Carroll/Prescott at Wigan one of whom is unlikely to get a lot of game time this year unless they get injuries. Not sure where we can get a half back from who can control the game though

Halves or quality halves are rare, but look at sammut, if your prepared to dig deep enough and take a punt, who knows?

The problem with overseas players is that you can be waiting months for the visas to be sorted unless that has been going on in the background and if they aint being playing then they are going to take a few weeks at least to be ready for SL.

Why couldn't we have found him last year, when he was available and we'd just sold the best British SH in SL??

Like chapster said the reserve nrl standard is still higher than most British or certainly available British halves.

Not sure where sammut played his rugby, in the reserves? Or lower leagues? Certainly not saying we shouldn't look at British but weve got to get real and realise we need someone, and smartish.
