This directed at all video refs, but Ben Thaler is by far the worst.


Will video refs stop thinking they are making instructional videos on the art of refereeing. We do not need to watch multiple viewings of the same angle, then viewings from a different angle, then going back to the first angle, to make a decision that was obvious from the very first angle.


They should go to the NRL system, where only a definite "no try" goes to the video ref, and on the others the video ref checks it as players take up their position, with the kick only allowed when given. Speeds it up massively. And hearing the video ref slows it down, because they can't resist the urge to talk their decision. Just watch it and give it.

think the technology has a massive part to play, as Powell has said. The picture quality when reviewing tries seems awful, frame by frame its just so blurry and you can hardly see what is going on. 


One thing that frustrates me is when the video ref asks for a certain camera view and then the director/producer just goes to a different one and takes ages to show the view they are asking for. It seems to happen all the time in the games I watch. 


Agree about the NRL review system, it would make the game so much quicker.
