As a Chargers fan, I am delighted with the Smith deal! He is the kind of player who will keep the chiefs picking in the 8-15 range, so missing out on a top prospect QB for at least the next three years. The only thing that's concerning is that's another LT off the board before the Super Chargers pick at 11. On the plus side, Brandon Albert will likely be hitting FA so hopefully a LT needy team will offer him a deal.

We've got an idea for a team holiday next year now...

Unlikely that either Grimes or William Moore will get tagged, so both could be allowed to go test free agency.



I have a feeling this is what Friday's moves were about, freeing up space to pay guys like these two and Sam Baker who are free agents and possibly to sort out Ryan's deal which ends in 2014.



I'd be disappointed to see us lose both Moore and Grimes, but I wouldn't be surprised if we lost one or the other.

I find the release of Abraham strange and think you might be bring him back. The Saints will take the division next year, with bountygate in the rear view mirror and our coach back we will reclaim our usual spot.
