About time he beat a good player.......





Shame he will get beat instead of winning a big title(but he beat Taylor so.......)........

He's beaten many good players in his career, he's not the first to fail to overcome Taylor. You can't underestimate how good Taylor is. Lewis' beaten Taylor on the floor but he's struggled on the tv. He played superb tonight, he hit 180s for fun and took out ton plus finishes, he put pressure on Taylor and kept up until the last dart.







Did you watch the darts tonight? post match? That's exactly the attitude they didn't have, both Bristow and Rod Harrington made the point he's beaten Taylor, that's it, tonight it's fantastic result for him but it doesn't mean he'll lift the trophy tomorrow he has to get back up there and do it again. He's got every chance of beating Wade tomorrow as Wade has of beating him (although I backed Wade at the beginning of the week so I hope he wins). I don't really get the point your

Just so used to seeing people who beat Taylor(doesnt happen very often granted) seem to think/have the mindset that they have won the title by beating him and then slip up in the next game, I hope he goes on to win but it seems to take a lot out of players mentally and physically beating a player like Taylor IMO

Just watched the Lewis game . Cracking darts from him to beat Taylor just a shame about the crowd again.

True but to be fair to Lewis I don't think he is one of those people, I don't think many of the pros are now. They want to beat Taylor but they know, unless it's a final, their job isn't done. It does seem to take a lot out of them and it's not too surprising considering how good he is and how much he's dominated. I just hope Wade wins it and gives me a nice few quid.

They were like that in both games though, Wade had it too. Pathetic, it's not hard to keep order while they throw.

They aren't playing in front of 5 people and a dog anymore, they are playing to packed houses who have been paying out of the for Magners all day. It's part of the game now and they love the money they've pocketed through these people so they can't have it both ways

There's a difference between creating a good atmosphere and deliberately trying to put players off, the crowd in Dublin have been the latter. They wanted Taylor and Wade to miss hence why they'd boo and shout when they were throwing and held order while the other player threw. I go to the world championships, the Premier League in the Echo Arena and Blackpool every year, the atmosphere is good and good banter it seemed different at times this week.

who won the final? looked on bbc site and it still only had phil and lewis winning first round games lol

Why was he not gracious? All I saw was him clapping Lewis.



Anyway Taylor had two cracking games, the Anderson one was top notch as was the Lewis game. I knew Lewis would not back it up though and Wade would come out on top.
