How much have we missed this guy? A lot of talk has been how many games we win/lose with Sam not playing, but for me, SOL is our key player.

The man is an enigma to put it mildly and if he'd been sacked when he did the drugs you could not have blamed the club for that (I said as much at the time) but given the way we are playing I'd pick him.

He is under estimated by many fans but ask the players and he is held in the highest regard.

I was always as frustrated over Hock's handling errors and brianfarts as anyone and therein lies the clue why I'd still pick him next week. Despite that he has more in common with Lockers and Sam that the rest of the squad.

He's finally getting the plaudits he's deserved for a long while. He is our leader and the glue that holds the team together.

We couldn’t play without Sam, now we can’t play without Sam and SOL, maybe? But all I know is we can’t play without: timing, structure, composure and form. So let’s just hope that his return can do the trick because I’m slowly starting to think that SW can’t.

a half fit Bill Ashurst would be an improvement on some of the recent dross we've had to witness.

given our recent form without sam and lockers, i would play them both, even if they were only half fit (so long as we have cover on the bench).
