Anyone any idea on best place to park near ground on Saturday please

When I've driven in the past I parked in a shopping car park, think it's by Matalan about a ten minute walk from the ground? Free as far as I can remember.

Is it not like Robin park were you get fined

When I went to the friendly in Feb I parked on the outdoor NCP about 2 minute walk from the ground. Guess it's busier/more expensive for matches during the season but couldnt be much easier to get to/from.

Is that the one that has signs up advertising £2.20 all day or 60p per hour? its literally round the corner isn't it?

Yeh thats the one. Heard its might be more expensive on matchdays (4.50ish?). Only been Wire away one other time apart from the friendly and we didnt park on there.

I've parked there twice without any problems mate, I think a coach or two parked on there last year too.

that the one next to the subway? i've google street mapped it to have look, seems like a big car park... any wires know if that's free or likely to get some jobsworth clamping?

They have a gate so you run the risk of the shop shutting and them locking your car in for the night I suppose but I dont think they actually do that I think they actually leave it open so I'm not sure. Its your risk I suppose.

£4.00 on matchdays. It's probably the nearest place to park but it can be a bit like the Wacky Races getting out unless you're very quick after the final whistle.

i'm a wigan fan so i'll be gone by half time

I park on that factory's carpark on dallam court. I think I pay £4 there too and getting out isnt as bad as that sounds lol

the £4 car park outside central station is probably your best bet for its location ..... if you don't want to pay then i would head down towards mcdonalds and find some roads round there... or down orford lane near the orignal wire.

I'm a Wire fan so I'll watch it on the tv, but I'll be at Wembley if we get there.

Where did people find good to park?

Coming off the motorway (after about a mile), turn left immediately before the Halliwell Jones dealership.



Street parking, but we've parked there a few times now, and it couldn't be easier for getting the hell out of there once the game's over.

Just after Toby Carvery - we have always parked here

We parked in the industrial/business park bit opposite Matalan and next to McDonalds. No problems parking there and was only about a ten minute wait to get out which isn't bad considering its free.

Three hundred yards down Longford Road, just off the A49 by Warrington Motors, which is opposite McDonalds. A nice five minute stroll from the ground.
