Saints have the pick in the semis - would they dare choose us in the last ever match at Knowsley Road?

I doubt it considering we beat them there this year when they had a stronger side to field (arguably as they may have Eastmond back but had both Eastmond AND Pryce in that game iirc)



However, they would love their last game there to be against us (as would I if it wasnt in those circumstances) but I doubt they'd do it as they'd rather get to OT.

aaagh, so the talk i've heard of us avoiding wire is misleading. If we loose on sunday, then win next game, i would have thought we'll get wire.



Providing saints beat them on friday that is....all ifs and buts....hehe, we just need to concentrate on winning on sunday, come on wigan!!

If Wigan don't beat Leeds on Sunday - with their on-field problems, the players want shooting.

It's WHO they have missing, more than anything. They're short of forwards mainly. Those that they have all seem to be carrying knocks.

You're right not to write them off. I'm not saying they should, but Wigan at their best with their currently available players are better Leeds at their best with their currently available players.



If you switch off against any SL team, you will lose against them. Bradford and Harlequins were testament to that this season.

Only if we won in week 1. If we lost then we'd

Play week 2 at home, but then if we won that we'd have to travel to play in week 3.

League placement only decides week 1, week 3 is decided on ranking.

As another poster said,if you lose Sunday (very unlikely) you are at home in week 2 but away in week 3 no matter what the other results are.



In that unlikely scenario you'd play Leeds again but away unless the winners of Saints v Warrington from week 1 picked you as the coaches pick but you'd still be away to them despite finishing higher in the league than both

I'd pick Wigan before Wire every day of the week.

Would that not fire Wigan up even more, knowing Saints had picked us and not used the ''they're the lowest ranked team left'' excuse.

Because as you may remember we've beaten you at your place this year but you beat Wire.

I think Wire are in better form and are a more dangerous team. I wouldn't be surprised if we lose to them twice this play-off series, but I'd fancy us to turn Wigan over with our pack back in place, as it seems to be at the moment.

Should the unthinkable happen and we lose on Sunday I see that the following week latics are at home on the Sunday. Can I take it that week 2 play off home game would be on the Friday?

Call it over confidence but if the we play how they have been doing through out the regular season I see nothing but a Wigan win.

I was thinking the same, Saints would love another game against us at KR to make sure Wigan did not win the last derby game there.

But if we play rugby, don't get dragged into fisticuffs and niggling like we did against Hudds we should see off Leeds, we still owe them for that Cup defeat.
