Coming up to Wigan for the day to watch the match. I will be stocking up on pies to munch over the few weeks.

Which are the best meat and potato pies in Wigan? I know it's a matter of taste but not had any in a long time. Any help out there?

Don't buy Poole's pies, they taste shat and are owned by Whelan.

Galloways or Greenhalghs seem to be a good choice, still gives me heartburn though

Nah, and a Bentley with DW's initials on the reg plate doesn't park outside the factory most days.

personally, my favourite has to be a Galloways meat & potato. bit of brown sauce n a couple of slices of buttered bread and you're onto a winner

I'm going to have to get a sample of a few pies. Everyone has their favourite. Taking the kids for the first time to see Wigan. I shall introduce them to Wigan RL and Pies on the same night. They don't know how lucky they are
