I don't see why we'd go for Quinn. Wing is a position we're pretty deep in with Roberts, Richards, Goulding and Karl Pryce to compete for two places so if we're going to use up a quota spot and a fair chunk of cap room I doubt it would be for a winger. I'd defo look at getting Widdop if the Storm are keeping Billy Slater

I think Quinn can play in the centres.



The article seemed to suggest that Widdop would move to the wing in place of Quinn.



The only way I can see us getting Widdop is if we really spend big and offer him a massive contract.



I'd love Brett White though, think you'd see incidents like Ryan Bailey's attempted decapitation of Sam the other week would soon come to an end! Think he'd cost a fair chunk of cap though.

Gareth Widdop looks like a very classy player. The combination between Widdop and Sam was fantastic. Madge has already admitted his interest in the lad. What a backline we would have!

I remember reading that Carmont wants to stay for another season. I like Carmont he's still one of the best centres in the league and has proven to be great value for money. One of the better overseas signings we have made in the last few years. So I hope he stays for another year.

I hope he stays too. I got told that he had to be talked into staying on this season though

Paul Cooke has got to be the most overated player ive ever seen, he did nothing again today, to make it worse he has a bad attitude and isnt willing to put in any graft.

Perry seems pretty nailed on from what I can read. Most people over on your forum seem convinced that he'll be announced after SOO has finished. That alone is a top class signing, a current SOO player.



Add to that Shenton seemingly heading your way and there's two good signings right there.



Put it this way, there seems to be more solid links between Saints and those two players then Wigan and anyone.

Wigan have in the past made mistakes regarding the signatures and announcements of overseas players. Until the deals are done, visa's sorted then nothing will be announced.

Don't forget, Lyon was nailed on to be back in 2011 but that ain't going to happen. I wouldn't believe everything you read on our forum.

It would be good to hear wigna announce the retention of some of their players who are off contract. Im sure that some of the deals have been done.

Well as long as Slater is at the Storm, Widdop's not going to get a go at fullback. Whether Melbourne see him playing in another position is up to them, but if Widdop's got an ambition to fullback he's more than likely going to have to leave Melbourne to fulfill that ambition.

TBH I think Slater and Co maybe moving on soon anyway. Widdop's a talented player, an NRL club will snap him up should he decide to leave Melbourne.

Pretty sure people wanted rid or maybe a one year deal at best for him last year. But he's come back from his injury and is putting in some great work. If he stays fit I'd like him to stay.

I could see Madge tempting Widdop over for a few years, give him some first team experience at the world's greatest club. Maybe with a promise to take him back to the NRL in a couple of years.

Would love to see widdop at wigan next season thought he linked up well with sam on sat could work well for next year if we can get him over here imagine widdop at 1 finch at 7 mouth watering

Widdop looked decent against France but that could be a bad thing as it would likely increase interest in him over here from other clubs plus other NRL clubs, I think his value has just shot up a few quid!

George has been one of our best overseas signings imo. taking everything into account - money spent, effort, attitude etc he has been right up there
