Did they not mean the most successful RL team of the SL era? An accolade which they cannot be denied.

Oh blimey why get so worked up? They made an error - so what. There are more important things to get worked up about. Like giving independence to the town of Leigh. It's about time we stopped propping them up with our taxes!

i don't think this is an overreaction at all. my poor old dad nearly choked on his brew when he heard this. we need to stamp this sort of thing out now, or next thing we know them rascals from over the lump will be conning channel 4 into saying we cheated our way out of being relegated, and the disney channel will be telling our kids that paul wellens was better than radlinski

Yeah thanks for the stadium, it's nice and cosy. Oh and my nephew thanks you for the nice new college you built for him too. Not forgetting the lovely new sports centre you had built for us. Shame it took 30 years to realise their was an eastern side to the borough when dishing out the cash in the 80's and 90's, we had to wait for a Leigh born council leader to finally divert the wonga to the right side.

Followed by "No that's not it". But then the opening of industrious hardworking etc didn't give it away??

On a serious note I expected them to be meeting McManus with his tiny budget trying to blag the council for some more money, looking at various fields in st helens to decide where their imaginary new ground was going to be!!
