I'm more interested in highams views on Gleeson being given extra security from Wigan. We cant be paying him that much more on the 20k we had left plus Richie mathers' wages surely?

I'd read by "more security" a fixed term contract. Not sure when his Warrington contract is up but if he's been offered a longer term one with us knowing they weren't going to renew then that's better than what he'd have been on at Warrington.

You mention about Warrington fans now ripping into Gleeson now he has left.



But where are all your lot who used to rip into at every chance on here? That he is a p!ss head, is always is the pub in Wigan or Billinge, or whatver dump, and has a nose for the line, and all the other boring comments and jibes you came out with. A few actually are mods on this board aswell.

Gleeson is class, and will be an excellent buy for Wigan if he keeps his head straight.



I assume he'll be on average cash this year to get under the cap and BIG money thereafter to compensate.

BIG money = I Don't Know but Anything to perpetuate the Wigan spending loads of Dosh Myth Whilst Other teams ACTUALLY spend more on player's wages than Wigan!

Although player contracts are confidential so I doubt many people actually know what he is on I think it's safe to say a current GB international in his prime wont have come cheap. A contract that scales up is also not beyond the realms of possibility as it would allow Wigan alot more flexibility under the cap in the short term. I think your being defensive tbh because I dont think anyone would doubt that other teams pay certain players a fair wedge but equally the same as Gleeson at Wigan we can all only guess.

He was poor today against Catalans.
