| Quote Code13="Code13"Pretty much every fan from every other club has been saying this for a couple of years about Wigan, only the presence of Trent Barret managed to paper over the cracks
Unsurpisingly without Trent, Wigan cant win.'"
I agree 100% with this I see with my own eyes and read quotes on here that say the game could have gone either way, but without TB they always seem to go against us, with him in the team they often went our way.
That Chad Randall pass for Quins has saved Noble big time along with the individual brilliance of TB for the last couple of years in my opinion, but for me it is only delaying the inevitable, and the longer it goes on the worse the situation is going to get for the rebuilding coach.
One way or another Noble is gone be it mid season or at the end of the season, he has to in my opinion

| The thing that annoyed me the most last night was the lack of togetherness, team spirit and desire of the players. I would not mind losing to Huddersfield as i feel they will cause a few upsets this season as they have progressed.
It just shows how far this club has slumped in the past years. Losing to Wakey, Cas and Huddersfield at home is not acceptable all in one season.
Last night Huddersfield came with a game plan to slow it down as much as the ref let them. Unfortunately for us, Bentham let them do it all night and we could not create anything. We seriously lacked ideas in attack, even with a set in their 20 we never ever looked like scoring.
IMO if we put in another 'half- d' performance against Saints, Noble has to walk or IL needs to act and sack him.

Why is Hanley unrealistic?
Graham Murray would probably be top of my list of candidtes for an immediate replacement.
If we do have to go to the end of the season Brian Smith probably becomes the best option.
Steve Folks is also a good available coach with the right mentality to take the club by the balls and give it a good shaking.

just a thought but maybe you didnt create anythnig because our defence was rock solid and you simply aren't good enough to break us down?
or maybe your coach didnt have the ability to change things when they weren't going for you? our coach did and thats how we won the game

Dont go for hanley, he ruined saints from the inside and before everyone says "you won the league". I could have coached that team to the league. I'd have won the WCC as well though

Exactly what I'm saying mate, I agree with every single word you say. You came with a well coached team with rock solid defence and tactics and we could not cope. IMO the difference between the two sides at the moment is the coaches. Nathan Brown tactically outclassed Noble last night.

The thing is - your defence was not that good. Most teams would have killed you with the lying on tactics because they would have got up and tried something different - we stupidly tried to match you. You are right about the coach, but the thing is people on this forum aren't used to losing, because they support wigan, and just because you are used to losing doesn't give you "the divine right" to come on here trying to p!ss us off (ok that last bit was to most Huddersfield fans here to be fair).

| its a shame most people cant or wont see the harsh realities but wigan simply arent good enough anymore, no offence but tomkins has been lauded this last few weeks, mainly in by sky i admit, but last night he was shown up i felt sorry for him and ainscough at times.
its nice to see some level headedness for a change instead of the usual bile about cheating refs and dirty hudds etc

| TBH i went to this game not bothering if we actually lost because Huddersfield are a very good team this year. Last night they werent.
We should have made them pay for every mistake, every penalty - Hudds discipline was poor last night, and if we had someone in the team who had that spark to create something close to the line on the last tackle (because we were there alot) we would have been the ones 22-8 up. Possibly even more.
But we just had nothing, and thats whats most disappointing. I just hope we dont go on another end of season spree to paper over the cracks, ending up in noble getting another contract because i would rather go through this year with nothing and end up getting a new coach at the end of the season who can get the best out of this team consistantly rather than put up with another 3/4 of a dire season and a happy little fart at the end of the season, which gets us nowhere really.

| One thing I was surprised at was Hudds never went back in the dressing room at half time, they carried on with the ball work whilst Wigan had yet another half time bollocking to go with their oranges!
Glad it wasn't me, I was bloody freezing sat watching them!
