You definitely can. I have flown direct countless times. If you do need to change I would suggest Philly if you can. Always been easier changing there than Atalanta or JFK.

Oh and by the way, when you check in and they ask for your passport, put a 20 dollar bill in your passport and ask if they have any upgraded rooms available. You can thank me later! |

Direct to USA from MAN = JFK, Orlando, Houston and Atlanta. Philly was stopped a few years ago by American Airlines. Your best options are BA via Heathrow, or Aer Lingus via Dublin. You can do KLM via AMS as well and Lufthansa / United via Frankfurt. Google flights or Sky Scanner is your friend.
Booked ours in the BA sale which finished yesterday.....
